The Green Planet is offering its guests the chance to experience how tropical creatures go about their day-to-day activities, in the dark! The walkthrough is included in the guest general admission ticket, along with the chance to catch the "tropical thunderstorm"!
Dubai's only indoor rainforest is presenting its guests with a unique opportunity to discover the special activities of the nocturnal rainforest animals when darkness falls!
The walkthrough is carried underground where The Green Planet operators have full control over the day and night cycles. Meanwhile, the main 7-story tropical biodome that accounts for the majority of The Green Planet allows in natural sunlight from outside.
Hitting the spotlight will be the Slow Loris family: Lonely, Hope and their baby. They are nocturnal primates with reflective large eyes and ears that allow them to have more sensitive sight and hearing, helping them navigate their way in the dark.
Did you know?
When the animals up in the biome are experiencing the normal sunrise and sunset like us, the animals in the walkthrough underground are experiencing the opposite: meaning that when it is daytime outside, it will be night time and dark for these nocturnal species.
The slow loris is just one of the many nocturnal species guests will be able to admire such as the adorable prehensile tailed porcupine, massive yellow anacondas and Burmese pythons, noisy tokay geckos and glow in the dark forest scorpions!
